Elevating Devices Mechanic D Course 2027

Our TSSA-approved D course covers the content of the curriculum for the EDM-D certificate, so you are ready to write the TSSA exam.

Classes run on weekends from January 30–31, 2027. A minimum number of participants is required for the class to run.

Each participant needs a copy of:

• Technical Standards and Safety Act, with the appropriate Regulations
• Regulation 209/01
• Regulation 222/01
• Code Adoption Document
• CSA B44 (10th edition) — Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators
• Field Employees Safety Handbook
• Elevator Installation Manual 2014 (Elevator World)
• Elevator Maintenance Manual, 2nd edition (Elevator World)
• Occupational Health and Safety Act

Participants also need access to these codes: B355, Z185, B311, A17.2 and A17.6.

Good to know

• Certificates are released only to successful participants whose tuition is fully paid at the end of the course.
• Minimum numbers are required for the class to run.
• Fees not paid in full by completion of the course are subject to a late-payment penalty of 2% on the outstanding balance.
